OH! I am soooo inspired! I’m going to make one of these (maybe with an additional pocket sewn in) for my kids to take their nature journals and some watercolours… this would be perfect for our Nature Walks… thank you so much for such a great tutorial!!! I’d never have “thunk” of it! LOL!

I think those who have less leisure time enjoy it more when they are blessed with it, don’t you?
Twice a day, when the kids were young, I’d sit with coffee and a “fun” read, a magazine or catalog; We all called it my “Happy Time”, and they knew not to interrupt, at least not without some sort of blood. And, I still indulge in this, twice a day, but it’s never been as dear or enjoyable as then.
My very best moments in life have been those that don’t cost much. Thanks for sharing your’s.

how did i miss this? your chicks are adorable – and look so familiar! do i spy a california white and speckled sussex? of course, they all look so similar at this age i do love the simple pleasures too. especially when they’re under the guise of selflessness.
