I talk to my animals all the time, even the little squirrel who comes to get peanuts. My mil used to roll her eyes and say, "my daughter-in-law talks to squirrels!" I'm 52, so if I ever had wings, they are long gone. But I truly do believe animals will talk if we will listen hard enough--not in words, but in something like feelings. She flits around just like a fairy... she doens't have wings though either.
